Objectives of Cypress Mounds:
  • Provide Louisiana youth the opportunity to play in leagues and tournaments at a first-class facility and have a unique baseball experience
  • Provide a venue through camps, clinics and other instructional means to improve the baseball skills of younger players and to teach proper fundamentals and character
  • Provide for the interaction of youth league players with present and former major league and college baseball players
  • Provide a family atmosphere conducive to day-long outings at the ball park
  • Incorporate the “Ripken way” which was developed by Cal Ripken, Jr. and Bill Ripken as a mission to grow the game of baseball, provide a high level of play with a core message involving integrity and sportsmanship for players and adults
  • Attract teams from the southeast region and around the country for tournament play
